Arctic Steel water strainers are manufactured from the highest quality 316 stainless steel, with the foundry meeting AISI specifications and ISO Approvals. Because they are a one piece investment casting, there is no welding to corrode and combined with each strainer undergoing an electro polishing process they have a superior resistance to corrosion in the market environment.

The range includes 1.5”, 2.5”, 3”, 4” & 6” BSP. Models can be bushed down to accommodate intake sizes of 0.75”, 1”, 1.25”, 2” & 5” as required. The design of the strainer creates an inherent swirl action to quickly scavenge air from the unit providing a larger screening area on the strainer basket.

Lids are secured with a 5 point tie down system using 10mm swing down eye bolts to eliminate the risk of losing nuts into the bilge, combined with a silicone sealing gasket. Strainer baskets are manufactured from high strength, impact resistant ABS to provide a long life in water temperatures of -25ºC to + 60ºC.

Each strainer body is cast with an anode connection lug to combat galvanic corrosion associated with the marine environment and to achieve maximum protection this point should be wired to the vessel’s anode system.

Clear polycarbonate lids, mounting brackets and adjustable mounting arms are available as required to make installation straight forward
